I'll keep it brief- I just have a couple of questions for the Royal Couple:

• Was it your choice in having the Royal Dress be so traditional? I wish you could of taken notes from the Cherry Blossom Girl's wedding...
• Kate, nena, sorry again, but you honestly couldn't do anything to stop the Prince from looking like Captain Crunch?
• Will, how was the bachelor party?

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas? Or at least you better fucking pray like to hope so-(I mean, who really wants to see you Karaoke to Gloria Estefan's song on the bar, pretending to be sexy, all while spectators view your drunken glory-as you notice that what's really hanging out of your skirt, is your tampon). But of course, there is so much more to the cheapness, and taste-less one expects from Las Vegas. There is dancing fountains, monuments to the gaudi and my favorite, outlets.

And yet amidst the sea of tight cargo pants, Ed Hardy shirts and all the glitter, I found Mai. Mai is a student from Japan who was shopping the infamous Las Vegas outlets. What struck me about her outfit was that it was so appropriate for the weather in Vegas. Her brown silk jumpsuit played perfectly with the dry breezy winds of the desert, while her choice in color palate was a perfect contrast to all the colors everyone in Las Vegas O.D.'s on.

When asked what her inspiration was, Mai responded to a simple "Nothing". Although I will admit I did not like that response at first, it later made sense to me. Her DADA approach in fashion can be seen as her outfit itself is anti-fashion/anti-ordinary, not only to Las Vegas fashion but to life in general, and for that I salute you Mai. Thanks for being my Las Vegas fashion muse.

Over the weekend I went on a date, and on a "normal" day I would make fun of everything that went wrong...but ever since the rumored apocalypse is approaching I'm forced into being optimistic and passionately enjoy every. single. moment. of my life. This time I was genuinely happy to go the theatre and watch a film. It wasn't an art house film or a thought provoking documentary, instead I decided to join the masses and watch Suckerpunch. And while my guy enjoyed the crotch shots, short skirts, and visual effects, I was mesmerize with the make-up action that was on film. Most noticeably their gorgeous long eye-lashes.

Fake eye-lashes aren't just for movie/porn stars anymore. Adding a pair of falsies can help you feel fabulous on days that you don't necessary have much time. Though they look great with heavy eye-makeup, pairing up the falsies with a fresh faced look can help you achieve an enhanced "natural" beauty look. Take cue from models, Cindy and Shannon.

Cindy

Cindy looks Mad Men-esque with a fresh faced look, light lip gloss and a set of heavy and big falsies. Perfect for day and night!

Shannon

Even hippies can enjoy falsies. A truly natural look can be slightly enhanced with a set of medium size lashes. The benefit of a simple make-up look, is it allows you to play up your accessories. Like a nose ring or putting a feather in your hair.

Tip: Since your first experiences on eyelashes won't be easy, practice on cheap eye-lashes. (Usually sold for $2 at "Fashion Island" or "Fashion 24" stores. (YOU KNOW WHAT STORES I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!)

Voyeur: Mall Rat

After a long week of working hard and putting up with the daily nausea of life, who doesn't like to indulge a little? Indulging for some might be found in the dark corner of a local bar (here's looking at you Charlie Sheen!) but here at Rose Bow, we like to indulge in ourselves by going to the mall. I admit-i'm a mall rat. Going to the mall for a little retail-therapy is an awesome healthy way to de-stress yourself. The only thing, that sucks about the mall...the ugly people. Which is why I was so content when I saw Thalia form Temucula! 

Thalia styled an outfit that was both stylish and comfortable enough for her to shop around in. I love wearing black/white stripes and would have never thought it would look so great with military green pants and black platforms. Here's my ode to you Thalia and all the fashionable mall rats across the globe.

For the past week I’ve been daydreaming of the most random things like pastries, nature, Dior-not to mention I have also been secretly wishing I would bump into Samantha Brown at a Target store. There she would offer me a job as her co-host/wingwoman. 

 *A girl can dream*

But the reality is...dreams don't come true, the only thing that is left from them are un-tangible memories. And while most discard those memories, i have used them for inspiration for a photoshoot.

Model Cindy: An oversized sheer sweater looks great against the sunshine rays of the Cali skies. One can balance the the huge sweater with small denim shorts.  And to create non-stop legs add some chunky wooden heels.  


Model Shannon: A flowing white tunic tied down with a brown belt, creates a hippie meets J.Lo  mash-up. And to finish it off some chunky-wooden clogs to stay true to the hippie 60's clog. 

Both these outfits can be used in several different occasions. A movie date with that one guy that said he would call but never did, girl's night out, and even in dreams.

Tie me up.

It's MONDAY, and you are ready to dominate the work week. Nothing says elegance and business like a gold tooth neck tie. Add a tie to your outfit and you instantly have an article of clothing that works as an accessory but also a statement piece. Ties instantly add a business demeanor to your outer self (for both women and men). The only problem I have with ties...I can't tie one. 

Luckily tie extraordinaire, Alexander Olch has teamed up with boutique French store Colette to make this insanely hot tutorial on how to tie a tie. After watching the video there should be no excuse on not wearing a tie to your next elegant affair.
